Why the name British Wealth Society? Because the word "wealth" feels off-limits and unrealistic to everyday people—and it shouldn’t anymore!

Updated: Aug 6

There’s something about the word “wealth” that makes people feel uneasy.

For everyday earners—especially those from working-class backgrounds or communities where money talk was hush-hush—wealth often feels like it’s meant for someone else. Someone richer. Someone luckier. Someone with better connections.

We’ve been conditioned to picture wealth as old money, stiff suits, and corporate jargon—none of which reflects the real, messy, beautiful hustle of everyday life.

That’s exactly why I chose the name.

I wanted to see if my message could reach the people who don’t identify with any kind of British wealth society, but do identify with one (or more) of the following:

  • a. Those who once hoped to find a space that could teach them, but never felt invited in.

  • b. Those who used to dream—and still might—but let it go somewhere along the way.

  • c. Those who never thought about any of this… but could have their moment of clarity right here.

I built this space with you in mind. It’s not about being wealthy—it’s about becoming well-resourced on your terms.

Why we Exist

Well, definitely not to glamorise suits and stock markets. Not to recycle the same polished version of “success" but to reclaim the word for everyday people; for working-class earners, for first-gens, for anyone who's ever felt like money talk wasn’t meant for them.

As much as I thought the name British Wealth Society was cheesy I quite liked that it is what it is and I want people to feel comfortable with becoming part of such spaces too.

The whole point of an organisation like this is the journey there. To see yourself as worthy of thinking about your future differently - giving yourself permission to want more... That's what we're here to encourage and help with and many people are looking for spaces like this more since Generational Wealth has become such a buzzword.

Generational wealth has become a trending topic—not because it’s new, but because more of us are finally realising we deserve a seat at the table. It’s no longer just a quiet inheritance passed down in gated communities; it’s a conversation happening in salons, group chats, and late-night scrolls. The British Wealth Society is challenging the idea that wealth is exclusive, elitist, or off-limits. This blog is my way of flipping the script—making the idea of legacy, strategy, and financial empowerment feel relatable, fresh, and proudly ours.

When I used to give motivational talks to entrepreneurs across Canada and the U.S., I’d often say this:It’s powerful that we’re now having open conversations about generational wealth, supporting Black businesses, and even marching in protest. All of that matters.

But for those who are truly passionate, those who are angry, hurt, and ready for change—I believe that energy can also be channelled into something long-lasting: business ownership as a form of resistance. Use knowledge as a lick back. Use opportunity as a lick back. Recognise the game—and learn how to play it. Learn to leverage corporate systems, build a resilient mindset, and then use that foundation to invest in yourself and your business.Too often, I’ve seen people show up with more professionalism for a boss than they do for their own vision. That punctuality, that dedication, that drive you bring to your job? Bring it to your empire. Be committed to self-education, because that's where your true freedom begins.

A New Kind of Society

British Wealth Society is about access. It’s about helping people build real confidence around money, choices, and future plans—even if they’re starting from zero.

Whether you're earning average income or just trying to keep your head above water, this is for you and if not for you? Then for your kids, your siblings, your circle because real wealth starts with belief.

It’s About a Paradigm Shift

Not a hack. Not a “get rich” blog. A full mindset upgrade—from:

  • “I was never taught this,” → “I can learn it and teach others.”

  • “People like me don’t build,” → “I’m part of the generation that does.”

Change starts there.

But What If Everyone Becomes Wealthy?

Now and then, someone says, “But if everyone starts building wealth, who’s going to do the essential jobs? Who’s going to clean? Deliver? Care? We still need key workers!” and I hear that but let’s be honest—that’s not the real issue. That’s fear talking.

We’ve been evolving for generations. New industries pop up, others fade out. That’s what humans do—we shift, we grow, we adapt.

We’re not about to all get rich overnight, hop on a rocket and abandon Earth like it's some Netflix original. There will always be people ready to take your place at work who are not yet ready for the work that we do here and maybe someday they will have their day or maybe not in this lifetime.

The real question isn’t who will do the jobs. The question is why aren’t they paid what they deserve in the first place?

So no, not everyone will walk this path. Not everyone needs to.

But for those who want to create, to lead, to build—British Wealth Society is here to say:

You’re not unrealistic for thinking there’s more for you. You’re not greedy and you’re not “too much.”

Slow Builds Win

Forget the hype. Some people shout about success, but never take action for whatever reason. Others move quietly—one step at a time—and actually get there.

This isn’t about moving fast. It's about moving right.

Mistakes will happen and that’s normal but the more informed you are, the fewer avoidable setbacks you face.

So What Do We Actually Do?

British Wealth Society is more than just a community—it’s a network of learners, doers, and leaders.

Through my work in financial services, I help people apply real strategies to eliminate debt, protect their income, and build solid foundations. Whether it’s insurance, mortgages, investments, or everyday money tips, I connect you with regulated solutions that move families forward—practical, powerful tools that create long-term impact.

All services are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

This platform was created to spark action—not just talk. It’s a space where culture, confidence, and financial literacy meet. The goal is simple: to break down real-world strategies in a way that feels natural, relatable, and useful—so you can apply them in your everyday life. Whether it’s understanding money, building a brand, or exploring ownership in all its forms, this site exists to help you level up.

New to this? So build from the ground up, with the energy of community, creativity, and clarity. It’s your space to grow—financially, personally, and powerfully.

You might think "I don't feel ready to make these kind of moves yet Rach".

Then stick around... This space is here to build your confidence, too.
