“Wealth is the Product of a Man’s Capacity to Think.” – Ayn Rand, 1905-1982, Author and Philosopher.

So today I was thinking — how can I explain further on the Paradigm Shift that I touched on in one of my blog posts, without digging out Bob Proctor? I have a lot of respect for his work and he teaches this very well but because he’s already so famous — and most people who come across this text will probably have heard of him, studied him or even adopted him as a mentor — I wanted to instead shine a light on Steve Siebold and his book which I found intriguing and what inspired my blog post on MIDDLE CLASS vs. WORLD CLASS.

Now the reason why this is important is because we are talking about our relationship and attitude to money. How does the book 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class by Steve Siebold relate to this? Well, if you’re someone who gets knocked off course every time life throws a challenge at you, this book is worth studying hence the title. It’s about upgrading your thinking from survival and scarcity to strategy and abundance.

Now, I am a big fan of watching Sports Documentaries. I’ve never played sports seriously myself, but I’m a huge fan of sports documentaries—and not just for the game. I’m obsessed with the mindset of high performers, the grit behind the glory, and the leadership it takes to rise from struggle to legend. There’s something about watching people push past limits, lead with vision, and stay focused under pressure that inspires me deeply.

One of my favourites is All or Nothing: Arsenal, which follows the 2021–22 season under Mikel Arteta. It’s not just about football—it’s about culture, leadership, and rebuilding something from the inside out. I loved seeing how the team responded to setbacks, adjusted strategy, and kept pushing for greatness.

Some other documentaries that left a mark on me:

  • Senna – the story of Formula 1 icon Ayrton Senna, whose passion and purpose made him unforgettable.

  • Beckham – an intimate look at David Beckham’s rise and resilience in the face of pressure and fame.

  • The Last Dance – Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls’ era-defining journey, full of discipline, mindset, and sheer willpower.

  • Iverson – a raw and emotional portrait of Allen Iverson’s life, talent, and the struggles he overcame.

  • Rodman: For Better or Worse – a deep dive into the complex story of Dennis Rodman, who defied every mould yet left an undeniable legacy.

Even fictional sports films like Rudy, Rocky, and Remember the Titans resonate with me for the same reason—they’re all about rising above, staying the course, and believing in something bigger.

To me, these stories aren’t just about sport. They’re about leadership, identity, and resilience—and that’s why I love Steve Siebold. He breaks down how "champions" think differently — they see the world through the lens of possibility, responsibility, and value creation, rather than fear, limitation, or survival.

What I took from the book is that it’s not about being born rich or getting lucky — it’s about developing the mental habits of the wealthy. When you adopt world-class thinking you stop settling for survival, you stop chasing quick wins, you start building strategies, networks, systems and long-term plans. You even begin to see money as a game of psychology, not just effort so if you change your thinking you’ll change your financial reality.

So what is World Class? World class refers to a level of excellence that stands among the best in the world. In the context of personal growth, mindset, and wealth-building — like in Steve Siebold’s 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class — it goes beyond skill or money. It’s about how you think, choose, and operate.

So, if Wealth is the Product of a Man’s Capacity to Think according to Ayn Rand I want to elaborate on this topic and break down what that means:

World Class is like a Belief System

World-class people think differently. They focus on:

  • Solutions, not problems

  • Responsibility, not blame

  • Abundance, not scarcity

  • Growth, not comfort

  • Ideas, not gossip, you get my drift?

World Class Is Strategic

While average minds chase money, world-class minds create value. They:

  • Build systems, not just hustle

  • Prioritize leverage, not labour

  • See money as a tool, not a goal

  • Plan long-term, not for quick wins

They understand that wealth doesn’t come from effort alone — it comes from smart thinking, networks and execution over time. They believe success is created, not given. They know that thinking precedes results and so they invest in their mind often.

World Class Embodies Mental Toughness

This level isn’t comfortable — it requires:

  • Facing fears

  • Pushing through resistance

  • Failing forward

  • Making decisions under pressure

  • Getting up when no one’s clapping or worst, laughing at you, hoping you to fail or quit

It’s a commitment to becoming the best version of yourself — even when nobody’s watching.

World Class Is Built Through Compound Growth

What Is Compound Growth?

In finance, compound growth is when your investments earn interest on their interest. It starts slow, but over time, small efforts snowball into big results.

£100 today might not seem like much — but invested wisely and consistently, it can grow into thousands. Now apply that to your life. Every time you show up… Every time you learn a new skill, pitch an idea, speak up, take action — you’re compounding. You’re building momentum, even if you don’t see the results right away.

Do that enough times and a breakthrough becomes inevitable. Here’s the part that stings — most people never reach that breakthrough. Why? Because fear wins, because comfort wins, because doubt whispers louder than purpose. That’s why they say the graveyard is the richest place on Earth —It’s filled with books that were never written, businesses never started, songs never sung, ideas never born… All because someone was too scared to try.

Now world-class results don’t appear overnight. They’re built:

  • One decision at a time

  • One skill at a time

  • One risk at a time

Each moment compounds — just like interest so the small actions, done consistently, separate the average from the great.

So, What Is World Class in a nutshell?

It’s the level where your mindset, behaviour and results match the best in the world — not by copying others, but by owning your power, taking responsibility, and becoming your own benchmark. It's a choice.

Every day, you either operate at average — or you rise, a little bit harder, a bit different.

So at the British Wealth Society we're letting you know that just because you don’t have wealth yet doesn’t mean you don’t have solutions, opportunities or the ideas that could create it.

If you need a start with handling your money better reach out at rachel@britishwealthsociety.co.uk

You’re welcome to reach out for guidance—but remember, building wealth is a lifelong journey. It will take your own research, drive and consistent effort.

As for your business ideas, you might be sitting on something powerful — a vision, a solution, a concept — maybe you haven’t acted on it. Not because it’s not good enough… but because your mind isn’t there yet. If that is the case, how do you expect to welcome abundance into your life if you haven't yet welcomed it into your conscious?

I believe we are one with the universe, energy, frequency, vibration - we are what we put out and if it's only fear, then fear will keep happening. Maybe flip it. If good always comes from it, you'll only see the good - like the retina shift but we'll talk about that one another day.

So let's talk about the book...

177 MENTAL TOUGHNESS SECRETS OF THE WORLD CLASS

The Thought Processes, Habits & Philosophies Of The Great Ones.

"If you got out of bed this morning and went to work because you wanted to, you are in control of money. If you got out of bed this morning because you had to, money is in control of you. Even in the wealthiest nation in the world, 99% of the population is being controlled by money. The effect is a lack of money. The cause is thinking.

Albert Einstein once said, 'A problem cannot be solved at the level of consciousness in which it occurs.' Knowing this, champions raise their level of consciousness by studying how the world class creates wealth.

The middle class believes formal education is the answer to acquiring wealth, yet very few academics are wealthy. They seek advanced degrees and certifications and are confounded when these things don’t bring them riches. While the great ones are strong advocates of higher education, they don’t believe it has much to do with acquiring money. The middle class trades time for money. The world class trades ideas that solve problems for money. Money flows like water from ideas.

The middle class often scorns the world class out of frustration over a lack of money, yet the answer to earning more than they can spend has been in their lap their whole lives. Ideas — it’s such a simple concept that the majority misses it.

The poverty class talks about and regurgitates the past; the middle class talks about other people; and the world class talks about ideas.

Professional performers know money doesn’t care which direction it flows. They know the world will bend over backward to make them rich if it helps solve a problem.

About 150 years ago, Karl Marx was sure the working class, as a whole, would rise up and overcome oppression if they had a chance. What Marx didn’t figure into the equation was the poverty-driven thought process of the people.

Give people operating at middle-class consciousness

a million-dollar opportunity, and they will find a way

to return to the middle class.

It’s where their limited self-image tells them they belong. The difference has nothing to do with reality — it’s all perception, in the mind of the performer."

Action Step for Today: Ask this critical thinking question: At what level of monetary success do I feel most comfortable? a) poverty class b) middle class c) world class.

Where you feel most comfortable reflects your self-image and most likely, your current status. If you want to become wealthier, begin by raising your self-image by upgrading the self-talk you use regarding money and finances.

"If all you do is chase more money,

you are simply attacking the effect." - Steve Siebold

The cause is how you think and if you improve the cause, the effect will take care of itself.

Steve Siebold talks about world class so much because it’s the core philosophy of his work — it’s what separates people who live reactively from those who create exceptional lives.

He’s not just talking about rich people. He’s talking about a way of thinking that allows anyone — regardless of background — to rise above fear, mediocrity, and limitation.

Siebold is passionate about this because he believes anyone can become world class — but few will!

“Success is not for the chosen few — it’s for the few who choose it.”

His goal is to expose the difference in thought patterns, so you can:

  • Recognize your own limiting beliefs

  • Replace them with world-class habits

  • Take control of your financial and personal destiny

He’s repeatedly talking about world class because he’s trying to help people:

  • Break free from “survival mode”

  • Build real wealth and freedom

  • Upgrade their self-image

Why is this so important?

Because the world needs more champions, not complainers.

Siebold is direct. He believes too many people complain, procrastinate or wait for rescue — when what they really need is a shift in the mind.

To him, world class is the mental discipline and personal standard that turns everyday people into high performers, leaders, and creators.

I hoped you enjoyed this one. Feel free to let me know what you thought in comments.

You don’t need a fortune to build one. You need a mind that believes it’s possible — and the courage to act on that belief consistently.
